You don’t need any internet or cellular connection to use Deeper Sonar. It will work anywhere in the world, even in areas with no cellular or internet service. A SIM card is not needed to use the sonar.

Pretty much all modern smartphones and tablets are compatible with the Deeper. You need a smartphone or tablet with Android 8 (or newer version) or iOS 14 (or newer versions). The device also needs to have an in-built GPS.

You don’t need to purchase any app subscriptions to use all the features of your Deeper Sonar. There’s an optional Premium subscription that allows you to view over 86,000 depth maps worldwide, as well as 3D and bottom hardness maps. It’s not related to the functionality of your Deeper Sonar in any way.

You can save as many interesting spots on the map as you want. You can even save the location and photos of your catches on the map.

Absolutely. You’ll be able to determine whether the bottom is silty or hard, find clear spots among vegetation, gravel pits, sunken trees and branches, drop-offs, etc.

Not at all. Fish can’t sense the ultrasound emitted by the sonar. Only mammals with biological sonars, such as dolphins, could potentially sense the sonar.
