Why are you recalling the batteries? Are they safe to use?
The batteries are safe to use; however, a small batch of batteries has minor manufacturing shortcomings. Although these do not pose an immediate safety risk, we want to ensure the long-term performance, reliability, and safety of your Deeper Quest. That’s why we are proactively conducting this recall.
How do I know if my batteries are affected by the recall?
Only customers who have received an email from us have batteries affected by the recall. If you didn’t receive an email, your batteries are not affected.
Do I need to pay for anything?
No, the entire process is completely free of charge. Deeper will cover all costs, including shipping, battery repair or replacement, and return shipping to you.
What happens if I don’t send my batteries back?
If you choose not to participate in the recall:
Support and Warranty: We will discontinue support and warranty for the affected batteries effective from 2025-05-01
Remote Limitations: We may remotely disable or limit the power of your current batteries to prevent potential performance issues.
Liability: If you continue to use these batteries, you do so at your own discretion and risk. Deeper will not be liable for any damages or injuries resulting from their continued use.
How long will the recall process take?
The entire process, from the moment you ship your batteries to us until you receive them back, will take approximately 2-3 weeks, including shipping time.
I've purchased an additional Deeper Quest battery set. Is it being recalled?
Only the original battery set that came with your Quest is being recalled. You can continue to use your Quest with the spare battery set you purchased separately.
Will the replacement battery have the same performance?
Yes. The repaired or replacement battery will meet the same performance standards as your original battery, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
What if I no longer own the Deeper Quest?
If you've sold or given away your Deeper Quest, please forward the recall email to the new owner.
