DEEPER
WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In the unlikely event that your Deeper product needs warranty service, please contact your local dealer or an authorized service/support network member (“ASN member”) or directly Deeper, UAB (“Deeper”, “we”) at support@deeper.eu. To avoid any unnecessary inconvenience on your part, we recommend that you read the product documentation carefully before seeking warranty service.
1. HOW ARE YOU PROTECTED?
This warranty applies to your Deeper product if so specified in the accompanying leaflets, provided the product was purchased from the authorized dealer and within the designated warranty area.
Deeper warrants that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship as of the original purchase date, for a period no shorter than the term specified in this warranty. The Deeper entity, i.e. authorized local dealer, ASN member or Deeper directly, responsible for providing and honoring this warranty is specified in this warranty document or in the accompanying leaflets, under the country where you request warranty service.
Warranty services shall be provided only if the original invoice or sales receipt (indicating the date of purchase, model name and dealer’s name) is presented with the defective product within the warranty period, provided that the product is covered by a warranty.
If the product cannot be repaired due to a factory defect, it will be eligible for replacement. If within the warranty period the product is determined to be defective (at the date of original purchase) due to improper materials or workmanship, Deeper, local dealer or an ASN member in the warranty area will, without charge for labor or parts, repair or (at Deeper’s discretion) replace the product or it’s defective parts subject to the terms and conditions as well as limitations below. Deeper or ASN members or dealers may replace defective products or parts with new or refurbished products or parts. All products and parts replaced become the property of Deeper.
If the product is no longer in production, and we no longer have an identical model available, Deeper shall reserve the right to replace it with another model of similar technical specifications that is not inferior to the original product.
2. WHAT’S NOT COVERED?
Deeper or dealers or ASN members may refuse free of charge warranty service if the original invoice or sales receipt (indicating the date of purchase, model name and dealer’s name) are not presented or if they are incomplete or illegible. This warranty will not apply if the model name or serial number on the product has been altered, deleted, removed or made illegible.
This warranty shall cover only hardware components of the product. It does not cover software (whether of Deeper or others) for which an end-user license agreement or separate warranty/warranty statements or exclusions are provided or intended to apply.
Deeper shall not warrant that the operation of the Deeper products will be free of errors or interrupts. Small glitches may occur due to the reasons described in the troubleshooting chapter of the Deeper user manual accompanying a specific product or due to the other unforeseen circumstances out of our control, as changes in software or its configuration of the mobile or tablet device being used with the gadget.
This warranty does not cover transport costs and risk associated with transport of your product to and from Deeper or a dealer or an ASN member.
This warranty does not cover:
- periodic maintenance and repair or parts replacement due to wear and tear;
- consumables (components that are expected to require periodic replacement during the life time of a product such as batteries);
- damage or defects caused by use, operation or treatment of the product inconsistent with normal personal use described in this manual;
- damage or changes to the product as a result of misuse, including:
o neglect;
o accidents, excessive heat, fire, chemicals, dust, other substances, vibrations, power surges, excess or incorrect supply or input voltage, radiation, electrostatic discharges including lighting, other external forces and impacts;
o treatment resulting in physical, cosmetic or surface damage or changes to the product;
o failure to use the product for its normal purpose or in accordance with Deeper user manual on use;
o failure to follow Deeper user manual instructions;
o failure to follow Deeper safety usage and regulations instructions;
o use of the product in a manner inconsistent with the technical or safety laws or standards in the country where it is used;
o use of the product with accessories, peripheral equipment and other products of a type, condition and standard other than prescribed by Deeper;
o repair or attempted repair by persons who are not Deeper, authorized dealer or ASN members;
o adjustments or adaptations without Deeper prior written consent, including:
§ upgrading the product beyond specifications or features described in the instructional manual, or
§ modification to the product to conform it to national or local technical or safety standards in countries other than those for which the product was specifically designed and manufactured;
o battery of the gadget if the charging cycles of it has exceeded 300, as tracked by the firmware. Please note that in this case the battery can still be replaced at your own expense by the out-of-warranty service provided by Deeper;
o damage resulting from modification, disassembly, or battery replacement by unauthorized third parties;
o water damage if determined not to be caused by a manufacturing defect. Each case is tested individually using pressure, submersion, and visual inspections to confirm cause. If no manufacturing issue is found, such cases are considered misuse.
In rare and exceptional situations, Deeper may, entirely at its discretion, offer a replacement or discount as a gesture of goodwill. These gestures are not part of our warranty obligations and do not create any expectation for similar resolutions in the future.
Please note, that certain product features, such as map overlays or location-based services, depend on third-party data sources. Any delays, interruptions, or inaccuracies resulting from these external services are beyond Deeper’s control and are not covered under warranty, unless a confirmed hardware defect is identified.
3. HOW DO WE DETERMINE WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY?
When a product is returned for warranty evaluation, our experienced technicians perform detailed diagnostics using specialized equipment. If damage is suspected to be caused by misuse (e.g., physical impact or water ingress), we follow a standardized testing process to objectively determine the cause.
We would like to inform you that the diagnostic fee of your product shall be paid by you if:
- the diagnosis of your product performed by Deeper or by an authorized dealer or by an ASN member proves that you will not be entitled to a repair under this warranty (for whatever reason) to rectify the defect;
- or your product is working properly and no hardware fault could be diagnosed.
4. PRODUCT WARRANTY PERIODS
Here’s how long each Deeper product is covered under our standard warranty:
- START sonars – 2-year warranty;
- PRO series sonars – 2-year warranty;
- CHIRP series sonars – 5-year warranty;
- Deeper QUEST – 2-year warranty;
- Accessories – 2-year warranty;
- Range Extender – 2-year warranty.

5. HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SUPPORT? Before submitting a warranty claim, we recommend you to contact us at support@deeper.eu for technical assistance.
Valid warranty claims are generally processed through the point of purchase during the first 30 (thirty) days after purchase; however, this period of time may vary depending on where you purchased your product; therefore, please check with Deeper or the retailer where you purchased your product for details.
Warranty claims that cannot be processed through the point of purchase and any other product related questions should be addressed directly to Deeper. The addresses or customer service contact information for Deeper can be found in the documentation accompanying your product or on the web at deepersonar.com.
6. OUT-OF-WARRANTY? WE MIGHT STILL BE ABLE TO HELP
If your device is no longer under warranty, please contact our support team at support@deeper.eu. Based on the description of the issue, our team may offer a paid repair service.
Please note that Deeper shall reserve the right to decline paid repairs if the product is damaged beyond repair or cannot be restored to full working condition (100% functionality).
7. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Except as stated above, Deeper makes no warranties (express, implied, statutory or otherwise) regarding the quality, performance, accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise of the product or any accompanying or built-in software. If this exclusion is not permitted or fully permitted by applicable law, Deeper shall exclude or limit its warranties only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Any warranty that cannot be fully excluded will be limited (as far as permitted by applicable law) to the duration of this warranty.
The only obligation of Deeper under this warranty is to repair or replace products subject to these warranty terms and conditions:
- impaired or non-operation of the product or associated products through defects or unavailability while with Deeper or an ASN member, which caused downtime, loss of user time or business inter-ruption;
- inaccuracy of output from the product or associated products;
- other causes.
This applies to loss and damages under any legal theory, including negligence and other torts, breach of contract, express or implied warranty, and strict liability (even where Deeper or an ASN member has been advised of the possibility of such damages).
Deeper’s liability under this warranty will in no case exceed the price paid for product, but if applicable law permits only higher liability limitations, the higher limitations shall apply.
8. YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS RESERVED
Consumers shall have legal (statutory) rights under applicable national laws relating to the sale of consumer products. This warranty does not affect statutory rights you may have nor those rights that cannot be excluded or limited, nor rights against the person from whom you purchased the product. You may assert any rights you have at your sole discretion.
9. NO OTHER WARRANTIES
No Deeper dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.
10. TRANSPORTATION
The contained lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods Legislation requirements. The user can transport the product by road without further requirements. When being transported by third parties (e.g.: air transport for a forwarding agency), special requirements on packaging and labeling must be observed. For preparation of the item being shipped, consulting an expert for hazardous material is required.
11. DISPOSAL OF NON-REPAIRABLE DEVICES
At Deeper, we are committed to environmentally responsible practices in line with:
- Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) – requiring the proper collection, treatment, recycling, and disposal of electronic waste;
- Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 September 2006 on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators and repealing Directive 91/157/EEC – governing the safe handling and disposal of batteries, especially those containing hazardous materials such as lithium.
In accordance with these regulations, non-repairable devices returned to us are safely and responsibly disposed of after 30 (thirty) days.
This helps us minimize environmental impact and ensure safety, especially when handling products containing lithium-ion batteries, which can pose risks during transport and storage.
Please note that returning a non-repairable device is not always feasible due to safety and environmental concerns.
