For the first time ever, Deeper has partnered with the Gunki Iron Tournament in Rotterdam to sponsor one of Europe’s most prestigious extreme fishing competitions. On the 24th and 25th of September, 360 anglers from 15 countries will spend 24 hours fishing the canals and quays of Rotterdam for the largest number of the biggest fish they can catch – and Deeper will be right there in the middle of the action.

The extreme fishing tournament will include 5 Deeper pro staffer teams that will all be competing for the top spot alongside enthusiasts and fishing champions from around the world. Participation in the grueling 24-hour Gunki Iron Tournament is just one of the many possible benefits of working with the successful fishing electronics producer, which invites top anglers to become Deeper brand ambassadors and work together on spreading the word about its cutting-edge fish-finding device.
The 24-hour tournament will include a fishing zone of over 40 square kilometers in the center of Rotterdam with more than 55km of riverbank to fish! Last year’s tournament included a total of 647 validated fish with a total length of over 254m. The largest fish caught was a 95cm pike, and the winning teams each took over 7m total.
For those who can’t make it to Rotterdam, Deeper’s media team will be posting live video feeds from the tournament throughout its social media channels and following the Deeper Heroes as they fight for the title. “We hope that this is only the first year of a long partnership with the Gunki Iron Tournament,” said Sereika. “In the future, we hope to contribute even more to the tournament and to widen the Deeper Heroes community.”
